Day!
Kindergarten
enjoyed a fun filled day of making applesuace with the
help of Mrs. B and Parent Volunteers! Then the next day
the learned about Johnny Appleseed and paraded around
the school with pots on their heads. To end thier day
Johnny Appleseed paid them a visit "for real"!

Band
Next
week members of the Sageville Band will be preforming for
several schools in the district. We can't wait to see them
here at Sageville!

is for...Camp
Sageville
This
year's S.T.A.R. reading program is "CAMP SAGEVILLE"
our 5th graders help kick off the year with an assembly
full of ghost stories, songs, and dancing.

for... Dare
5th
grade has offically started thier Dare day with Sgt.
Cruise. During this time they will be learning about
Peer Presure and different ways to say NO to Drugs and
Alcohol.

is for... Exercise
What
a GREAT day to exercies! Our school spent some time outdoors
dancing and walking for a chance to win $1,000.00 from LiveHealthy
Iowa. What a great way to get healthy and have fun.

Our
4th and 5th graders had a great flag football season with
Coach Mach. Thanks to our fans for thier support during
our games. We even hosted a game here at Sagevill this year!

Green
Recently
the 3rd grade classes visited Dittmer Recycling to learn
about the process of recycling and how to make our WORLD
a greener place.

Houses
Have History Tour
During
lunch recess a group of 5th grade students worked with Mrs.
B to learn about the Victorian Houses in downtown Dubuque.
After learing about the architecture they took a tour of
several houses and created model homes that are on disply
outside our library.

is for.. .InPulse
The
vocal band InPulse sponsored by DACAR performed for
us using only thier voices. Ask your student(s) what acappella
meas.

have a lot of NEW BOOKS in our Library!! Thank you to
the DRA for our grant of $2,500 for new nonfiction books,
and to the PTC Bookfair funds! Stop in and CHECK out a
new book today!
Thanks
to our PTC students were able to come to school after hours
in thier PJs to listen to staff members read stories and
participate in games.

We
learned about Character with a fun filled assembly presented
by Ronald McDonald. He taught us about TURSTWORTHINESS,
RESPONSIBILITY,
RESPECT, and
FAIRNESS.

is for... Volleyball
Our
4th and 5th grade girls had fun with Coach Egan and Coach
Herr. Thanks to our fans for thier cheering and support
during the games!

Gym
Students
who participated in the summer reading program through Carnegie
-Stout Public Library earned the reward of spending a protion
of their day at Westside Gym with Mrs. Wiezorek and many
parent volunteers.
