The mission of Sageville Elementary School is to promote the desire for learning and to develop responsible citizens in a changing, global society.

Sageville Elementary School is located a few miles north of Dubuque just off of Highway 52 on Sherrill Road. Our school community consists of students, staff, parents, school business partners and many volunteers. We are most successful when everyone is working together and helping each other. The Sageville staff is committed to providing an environment for our students and families, which is open and caring. We work hard as a team to provide a quality education for our students. We value the volunteers and mentors who visit our school to help us assure that we provide excellence in education. Together we continue to foster learning that is both active and fun.

School Information:

Our student enrollment for the2011-2012school year is 279 students within 13 classrooms. In addition to the regular education program in grades K-5, we also have programs in Gifted and Talented, Life Skills, and Special Education.  Starting this year we have also added Preschool.  There are two preschool programs, a.m. and p.m. as well as an all day option for kids that qualify.

Grants have had a large impact on Sageville School in the last several years. We have received several grants from Dubuque Racing Association and McElroy Trust. These grants have made it possible to purchase newer technologies like iPads, projectors, computers, iPods, and document cameras. We have also updated our library collection with non-fiction books to support our changing Science and Social Studies curriculum. We have strong support from our PTC which has purchased new tables for our art room, stand up desks for special education, book room books, and headphones for our computer lab. A new addition to our school this year is our Outdoor Learning Lab complete with a Pavillion and Butterfly Garden.
